Super Fan or Super FAT?

Okay, so it is Sept, again and we all know what that means…..NO not a new season of Dancing with the Stars, FOOTBALL!!!  That’s right, a new season of NFL football will playing on most of your TV’s on Sundays for the next few months.  Now don’t worry, in no way am I going to bad mouth watching football.  Truth be told you will probably find me doing the exact same thing when my team is playing (RAVENS).  However, it is what goes on during the game that I am here to talk about.  Look around the next time you are at a friends house watching a game, and look at all the “snacks” that are around.  It is quite possibly the WORST assortment of food you will be around until Thanksgiving or Xmas.  There is lies the .problem with football season.  You see the average American gains 15 to 20 pounds between the start of football season and New Year’s.  That is 5 pounds a month on average, and it is probably higher because I know I don’t gain 20 pounds.  Why do we do this?  Well you will now here my theory 🙂  I watched a couple games this Sunday while I was at home, and couldn’t help but notice a common theme in the commercials I saw.  They were all selling CRAP food.  I think in 1 block of commercials I saw one for Domino’s, Carl’s Jr., Coke, and Buffalo Wild Wings.  Not a ton of healthy choices at any of these places.  So what’s my point?  My point is this.  Why contribute to the National average of weight gain?  This year, be conscious of your calorie intake, not only at football parties, but as holiday parties approach as well (not to mention Halloween).  I am not saying that you have to eat celery sticks and rice cakes, but especially for all of you that have been making HUGE progress at Train Insane, don’t throw it all away.  Set a goal for yourself to be a success story for the New Year, and not the person that has to start over.  I want all of you to enjoy football season, and the upcoming holidays as well, but I will leave you with a quote that we use a lot at Train Insane, “Nothing tastes as good as skinny feels.”

Stay fit, Train Insane,

Geoff and Aaron

P.S. give this a try for your next foot ball party!
