Skinny Music

Although I have devoted a large part of my life to health and fitness, every once in a while I learn something from my members.  That’s right, I said it, some of you guys and girls teach us coaches things now and then.  It was one of these such moments that inspired this post.

Now as a former athlete, and current coach, I have always known how powerful music can be in motivating people.  I know that when I played sports, I had exact mixes of music that I would play before a game.  I truely believed that that particular mix of songs helped my performance on the field.

That being said I was COMPLETELY UNAWARE that music had the ability to make you skinny.  After ending one of our boot camps one night, a girl approached Aaron and I about our choice of music.  I do not remember all the details about the conversation, but it ended with her saying that we needed to play more “skinny” music.

Apparently the music that we were playing was only good for.. how did she put it? “Getting all muscular.”  WOW, I did not realize that I was unknowingly creating an army overly muscular guys and girls. The good news is that after talking it over, Aaron and I have fixed the problem, and will now ONLY be playing “skinny music” in our boot camp classes from now on.  We just wanted to let you all know that we will leave NO stone unturned when it comes to getting our members in shape.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention

“Skinny music” is the trick… I promise it helps. It gets in you the “phunk” of working out, distracts you from the exercise, and puts you in a rhythm that helps you loose weight, build muscle, and HAVE FUN!
